Ben Stewart

Part II Student (joint with Christiane Timmel's research group)

Ben joined the Tait group in 2024, as a Part II student from New College. He is investigating films and single crystals of tetracene-based singlet fission materials using transient Electron Paramagnetic Resonance (EPR) spectroscopy. Ben is also a member of the group of Professor Christiane Timmel, where he performs magnetic field effect experiments using fluorescence and confocal microscopy techniques. He aims to combine these with his EPR experiments to better understand singlet fission processes.

Outside of the lab, Ben is a rugby union referee, plays (recreational) tennis and occasionally attempts to revive former abilities on the piano.
