Lorenzo Catini

DPhil Student

Lorenzo joined the Tait Group in 2022 and is enrolled at Magdalen College. His research focuses on fabricating miniature organic solar cells and investigating them through Electrically Detected Magnetic Resonance (EDMR) spectroscopy to understand the role of electron spin in current generation.

Originally hailing from Rome, Lorenzo moved to the University of Liverpool for his MChem degree (2018 - 2022). During his final year, he worked in the group of Dr Brianna Heazlewood, determining the molecular beam density for charge transfer reactions.

Outside of the lab, Lorenzo represents the University in tennis, follows his home team A.S. Roma and enjoys learning new languages.
