Dr Maximilian Mayländer

Postdoctoral research associate

Max joined the group as a postdoctoral researcher in June 2024. He studies charged paramagnetic states in organic materials using spectroelectrochemical EPR methods.

Max received his PhD from the University of Freiburg, Germany, in the group of Sabine Richert. His doctoral research focused on the application of (time-resolved) optical and EPR spectroscopical techniques for the investigation of high spin states in organic chromophore-radical dyads.

Outside of work, Max likes to go hiking in beautiful landscapes, which in Freiburg the Black Forest certainly provided. He also enjoys getting lost in a good fantasy book.
